Boost your Old PC Performance at a very low cost

If your computer is over 5 years old, it likely has a Hard Disk Drive (HDD) housing the operating system, applications, and data. Despite having a top-notch processor and ample RAM at purchase, it may now lag behind newer models. With PC costs rising, a cost-effective upgrade could rejuvenate your old machine for several more years.

Often, the bottleneck in performance isn’t the processor or RAM but the disk read and write speed. SATA Solid State Drives (SSDs) offer a budget-friendly solution, boosting speeds more than four times faster than HDDs. They can either complement or replace your existing HDD.
For those with technical staff (or students familiar with PC hardware) in their office/lab, consider purchasing a 1TB SATA SSD or a 500GB variant, matching or exceeding your current HDD size. The staff/student can clone your HDD to the SSD in just a few hours. Once running on the SSD, you’ll notice a significant performance boost.
Without technical assistance, opt for a local reseller who can determine the compatible SSD interface for your PC and provide cloning services along with supplying the disk.
1TB SATA SSD (WD Blue) is available for less than Rs 6300 including discounts.
WD has three ranges: Red, Blue, and Green. The Blue one provides best cost benefit ratio.
I have named WD as I have used several of them with good experience. There are several other reliable and well-known brands too.
